On the 31st March, Sydney’s Cristal Bar was alight with a mix of raunchy animal prints, nautical stripes, ruffles, long limbs and sexy hair and makeup. When the Pussycat Dolls launched their saucy new lingerie range, it was only natural that they aligned with muk; no stranger to sexy styling. The muk creative team created the sultry, tousled hair looks for the launch parade with a combination of their award winning styling products, and their recently released Style Stick iron with rapid heat-up to 210 degrees celcius. Although the Dolls’ were unable to attend the launch in person, muk transformed Australia’s Next Top Models Lola Van Horst, Adele Thiel, Rebecca Jobson, Former Miss Australia Laura Dundovic, and actress Gracie Otto into femme fatales, who prowled the catwalk with a feline charm that would make the Pussycat Dolls proud. Kinky muk Curl Amplifier was applied to Laura Dundovic’s damp hair then the new muk Style Stick was used to create soft, frizz free curls. To finish the look, Beach muk Sea Salt Spray was applied to achieve a lightweight matte tousled finish. Popular ANTM contestant Lola Von Vorst had Rough muk Forming Cream applied to dry hair, then spiral curled with the muk Style Stick. Kinky muk Curl Amplifier was used to define and separate curls. To create Adele Thiel’s Dita Von Teese inspired look, Fat muk Volumiser was applied liberally to dry hair prior to setting with hot rollers. The look was finished with Hot muk Smoothing Serum to accentuate movement and add incredible shine. Von Teese’s influence was rife throughout the night, evident in a series of burlesque routines including a jaw-dropping contortionist in a catsuit covered with Swarovski crystals. Taking in the show was Ruby Rose, Frankie Delgado of The Hills, Bra Boy Koby Abberton, ANTM Winner Tahnee Atkinson, Didier Cohen, band Carney and real live Pussycat Doll, Ashley Roberts. Prominent US choreographer Brandon Boyd flew to Australia to mastermind the stunning performance. Suggestive choreography, lingerie and seriously sexy MUK hair.
