Revered Australian fashion designer ELLERY showcased her latest collection at Paris Fashion Week on March 3rd, with muk Haircare once again, as major hair sponsor. Designer behind the brand, Kym Ellery, was enthusiastic about the collaboration. She said, “We are excited to be working with muk Haircare on our Paris presentation this Autumn and love how the brand has supported us on our international shows for three seasons. The hair direction is forward, polished and artful. The unique placement around the temples and cheek bones frames the face and integrates the makeup look creating a holistic beauty look this season.”
One of Paris’ leading session stylists, Stephanie Farouze, worked her technical artistry on the models using muk products. The hair look was inspired by the artistic elements, drawing upon the concept of brush strokes. The hair was prepared with Fat muk Volumiser at the roots and blow dried in. Hair was then pulled back in a clean ponytail using Hot muk Smoothing Serum with a slight lift at the roots at the crown of the head. Around the temples and face, hair was pulled out and combed using new Slick muk Pomade, into squiggle shapes that curved around the ears and temples. Strands of hair were separated to mimic the concept of brush strokes using hair. To set the hair, Beach muk Sea Salt Spray was used as a finishing touch.
Working along Australian designers like ELLERY is an exciting opportunity for muk Haircare. Director Mark Gariglio says, “We’re always looking for opportunities to profile our brand to the fashion world and international audiences, and what better way than to be present at Paris Fashion Week with such an amazing designer like Kym Ellery!
It allows our products to be used in a creative and directional way, inspiring hairdressers and consumers alike.
